People experience grief in different ways and from loss of any kind: death of a loved one, certainly, but also loss of career, divorce, relationship, home, stage of life, a dream for your life, a life-changing injury or illness.
Come explore your grief through the lens of Yoga Therapy with Courtney Sutherland in a safe and supportive environment. Through self-reflection and group connection, you’ll gain a deeper understanding of how grief is affecting you.
You’ll be guided through simple practices, like breathwork, meditation, and gentle postures, to address your individual symptoms and response to grief on all the levels of your being. Grief is all-encompassing and a strong force. The good news is that we all have the capacity to soften the experience through intentional and conscious physical and mental practice.

Envision Your Future: Journaling
Come join CONNEXT at Anahata Wellness Co-op Coralville, IA for a fun and creative bullet journalling session led by regular-attendee and friend Shelby! We will begin with a 30-minute guided hypnosis on connecting with your future self (led by Renee) to set the stage for vision board and journaling inspiration. Warm tea or coffee will be provided while you design your personal project. This event will nurture your vision and creativity, blending mindfulness with artistic expression!

Sound Healing Experience
Join us for a transformative "Sound Healing Experience" at Kent Park this September! Immerse yourself in a soothing one-hour sound bath session, guided by Terri Reeve, as we explore the healing power of sound in a serene outdoor setting. This relaxing event is designed to help you unwind and rejuvenate. During the healing session, Terri will move around the space, using Tibetan Singing Bowls, Handheld drums, Koshi chimes, and a Steel Tongue Drum to guide intentions toward inner peace and healing.

Connecting to Earth and to Each Other
Join us for a delightful day of exploration and connection at our "Connect with Earth and Each Other" event. Begin with a refreshing nature walk (easy going, stroll-pace) where you'll have the chance to breath in the beauty of the outdoors. Yoga Therapy for Pain Care
Pain is complex and living with pain is challenging and all-encompassing. Join Courtney Sutherland of Unlocking You Yoga Therapy for this CONNEXT event focused on Pain Care. We will use principles and practices of Yoga to explore how your experience of pain may be shifted.
Using breath, awareness, and nervous system regulation, you will learn various ways to approach your pain, and learn to live with it in a different way. You might even be able to smooth out its edges and soften its grip on your life!
Yoga Therapy for Pain Care is for you if:
You experience chronic pain
You are interested in a holistic approach to health and well-being
You are willing to try simple practices to meet a complex pain experience

How To "Do" Pain Well
Join CONNEXT for an enlightening event where Tyler Fyotek, a local psychotherapist, will lead a short, informative presentation on the topics of pain and suffering. Renee will then lead a session of mindfulness and relaxation, during which she will gently guide the group into a state of light hypnosis to deepen awareness. This introspective journey is designed to help us recognize and understand our emotions more deeply, ultimately paving the way towards healing.
This hypnosis will finally be followed up with a discussion aimed at expanding our perspectives on the fundamental human experiences of pain and suffering. By bringing conscious awareness to our pain, we embark on a transformative process that can lead to personal growth and emotional resilience.
Please remember to bring a yoga mat if you have one as our mat inventory is limited!

Yoga in the Park & Making Meaning in the Present
We all want to live a life of meaning and purpose as the best version of ourselves. Still, that idea can feel overwhelming—or even isolating—when we think about those magical people who "have it figured out". The truth is, most of us aren't sure how to answer the question of who we are and why we are here. That's because we aren't one thing; we have many gifts, and the paths for living our dharma (purpose) are infinite and evolving.
The questions of life's meaning, evolution of self, or infinite choice can feel anxiety-producing because they are big and deep questions with many paths! Join us for an exploration around the meaning and purpose that can be made inside the moment we are in right now. By being present with what already is, and the connections created when exploring these questions with others, we can see opportunities for the next right thing that over time answers those big questions. In truth, the only tangible steps toward the life we want are in this moment, and from that space we can have more clarity and peace.
Please bring a yoga mat (if you have one), water bottle and a blanket! We look forward to seeing you there :)

Letting Go with Fire and Yoga Flow
Join us for a journey of release and renewal at the upcoming CONNEXT even centered around "Letting Go" on Saturday, May 18th, from 12-2 PM at Kent Park (near the Deer Run pavilion). Delve into the depths of self-discovery through yoga and a gentle guided meditation, and explore what it means to release that which no longer serves you. Our closing fire circle will provide a sacred space for reflection and sharing. Please bring a water bottle, blanket and yoga mat to fully immerse yourself in this experience. In the event of rain, our homebase, Anahata Wellness Co-Op will be our relocation option, and we will email with info if that is the case.

Learning Unity through Yoga and Rhythm
Join us for an invigorating journey of mind, body, and community connection! Immerse yourself in 45 minutes of soul-soothing yoga to awaken your senses and find inner balance. Afterward, let the rhythm guide you as we gather in a vibrant drum circle to celebrate unity and harmony through music. Recharge with a refreshing tea and coffee break before we gather to discuss ourselves and our place in the world. If time permits, we will wind down with a short guided-meditation. Come experience the fusion of movement, rhythm, and dialogue in an afternoon dedicated to well-being and shared connection!
Yoga mats will be provided, but feel free to bring your own!
If you have a drum, please bring it! Pots and pans will be accepted as well :)
